Economic Simulator

Run the Model Yourself

BigSim simulates a scaled US economy with individual households and firms making their own decisions. Watch feedback loops, policy responses, and economic dynamics unfold in real time.

For model assumptions and scenario design, see Methodology.

In Your Browser

Configure household and firm scale directly, then run either a single simulation or a tiered health batch. Watch feedback loops unfold in real time.

🖥️ 20,000 households default • 40 years • baseline dynamics

Only `Normal` is active right now; other social-response modes are staged for a later simulator pass.

= 20 years discarded before recording (240 months)

Worker/consumer agents (max 100,000)

Producer agents (max 10,000)

= 480 monthly steps

💡 How to Read Results

Compare scenarios by holding seed and run length constant, then changing one policy block at a time. Track unemployment, GDP path, inflation, debt dynamics, and firm survival together instead of relying on a single metric.

Simulation Health

Tiered baseline evaluation with per-seed status and batch gates.

Selected run tier

1,000 households • 46 firms • 1 seed40 years • warmup 20 years

Batch gates: target pass fraction ≥ 80%, acceptable outliers ≤ 1, hard-limit violations = 0.

No simulation health run yet.

Pick a tier and run the health check to see seed-level gating.
